Call for Papers: A Life Remembered—Tribute Issue to Venerable Master Hsing Yun

We are pleased to announce that the 2026 issue of Studies on Humanistic Buddhism will be a tribute to Venerable Master Hsing Yun. We are looking for articles on the theme of “Venerable Master Hsing Yun—A Life Remembered.”

• Research on the New Buddhist Philosophical System of Humanistic Buddhism
• Ethical Relationships in Humanistic Buddhism
• Humanistic Buddhism in Interpersonal Relationships
• Practitioners of Humanistic Buddhism
• The Economy of Humanistic Buddhism

 

Guidelines for authors:

Authors are encouraged to submit paper proposals or abstracts of up to 200 words. Please send any submissions or questions to the journal editor Michael Murphy at foguang.translation@gmail.com. Include your name, contact details, and any institutional affiliation. The final papers should be roughly 3,000-10,000 words. Please see the poster for more details.

 

Important dates:

• deadline for topic/abstract—29 March 2025
• notification of acceptance—13 April 2025
• final paper submission—7 October 2025
