Eight Confucian Virtues

Filial piety is the basis: the head of all virtues.

Kind-hearted giving: not falter in kind deeds.
Integration of devout Buddhists: a great gathering.
Righteous charity event: join a good cause.
Harmonize without drifting with the tide: take the Middle Way.
Peace of mind in assessment: objective evaluation.
Loyal advice can be unpleasant: bitter medicine.
Filial piety should not be delayed: do not wait.
Benevolence and love for all: guide all beings.
Kind people are virtuous: the Way of noble character.
Integrity lost with careless speech: disrespectful.
Righteously speak out: be confident and just.
Harmonious countenance: compassionate and amiable.
Peace on parallel roads: there are no intersections.
Loyalty and integrity are non-dual: humanity and the heavens mirror each other.
Filial Maudgalyayana: rescuing his mother.

Integrity from one’s hands: prose from one’s speech.
Righteous aspiration to volunteer: devotion to public service.
Harmonious relations: friendly accord.
Peaceful and balanced studies: equal advancement in the Five Educations.
Loyalty and courage: chilvary. Filial and virtuous children: pleasing to one’s parents.
Benevolent and noble: abide in righteousness.
Kindness is hard to let go: difficult to part with.
Integrous conveying of information: through many means.
Righteous and compulsory education: began in Germany.
Harmonious and genial: cordial and approachable.
Peaceful and ordinary: everything as usual.
Loyalty towards one’s duty: fulfill one’s role.
Filial respect towards elders: humility and propriety.
Benevolent and compassionate intentions: manifestating the bodhisattvas.
Kindly protect the Earth: save energy and reduce carbon emissions.
Integrous and favorable reputation: establish a name for oneself.
Righteousness reaching to the sky: inspiring and apt vitality.
Harmoniously laying it on the line: hold nothing back.
Peace disturbed: unexpected. Loyal, considerate, and honest: unconditional sincerity.
Filial governance under the Heavens: compassion benefits the country.
Benevolence as one’s principle: foremost compassion and filial piety.
Kindly love the skilled: respect the wise.
Integrous trust fund: benefits society.
Righteous charity performances: helping the needy.
Harmonious coexistence: everyone is satisfied.
